Breeding Season

Salam,

This is the perfect time to start breeding.
The broodcock and broodhen just finished molting and for the
last few weeks back,im pre condition my breeding candidate.

The pre conditioning of breeding pairs are important because this
will ensure of healty offsprings.Usually,I delouse them to rid out
parasites such as mites and lices. This parasites often reside in my birds
because of the location of my chicken farms, which is away from
residences.(You can tell that in the jungle,we can expect many mosquitoes).

Deworming also added into my pre conditioning program.Multivitamins tablet is to
ensure appropiate components present for breeding but I dont use much since
I dont have issue on 'hens that dont lay eggs' or 'damage/abnormal eggs condition'.

I will use a round coop to seperate the broodhens and pullets.Basically,
I will sit the broodhen to my broodcock so that they can mate and will put
back her back to the round coop. This is important to me and I like to know
exact mating that produce best offsprings(that suit me) so that I can make better breeding
and pedigree (genealogy).(I am no expert but I like to learn to make things better,
and I dont like learning from mistake,First thing right everytimes).

Ehm...so how about broodcock?Yes..I did table work on them for 2 weeks and
a full 7 days resting.(Hell no,i wont tablework man fighters)

For the incubator,I did try with a new set up by using a wire mesh as a platform to
sat the egg.But unfortunately,I found it troublesome when it come to egg turning.
So I made my decision to use the old type thing by using egg cartoon.

As the time pass by,so did my experience. In my previous post,I did stated the
hatching rate of this home made incubator @ 60%.Well, the last incubation that
I have made,90% hatching rate is achievable with healthy parents with good
nutritions and clearly a home made incubator can achieve what industrial grade
incubator which far more expensive for your pocket.
